First Black Principal of Living Waters Theological College
After completing his theological studies from Living Waters Theological College (then Rhodesian African Bible College) in 1978, followed by a Certificate in Lecturing in South Africa and Post Graduate in America, Dr. Murefu embarked on a remarkable 46-year career in ministry, during which he touched the lives of countless individuals through his leadership, tutoring, preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.His deep commitment to spreading the message of love, hope, and redemption has made him a beloved figure in the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Dr. Murefu's influence extended beyond the pulpit, where he founded 15 assemblies for AFM, as he served as the Principal of Living Waters Theological College for over two decades, shaping the minds and hearts of future Christian leaders.

As Vice President of the Apostolic Faith Missions International for 13 years (2003-2016), Dr. Murefu played a pivotal role in guiding the organization towards greater impact and relevance in a rapidly changing world. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Murefu has been a beacon of light and inspiration, embodying the values of compassion, humility, and service. His retirement celebrated on the 30th of June at the AFM Avonlea assembly marks the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to shine brightly, illuminating the path for future generations of believers.The event was attended by Leaders from AFM in Zimbabwe, a few others from the AFM of Zimbabwe and leaders from other churches. Leaders present included AFM in Zimbabwe President Bishop A.D. Madawo, AFM international President Rev. M.G. Mahlobo, Emeritus President & Chairperson of AFM National Emploment Board, Dr. A. Madziyire and Coach Tarie, whose recently launched book, Living By Design", he recently endorsed and attended the launch of.
