WE ALL HAVE ENOUGH OF IT, THEN WHY ARE THINGS NOT WORKING FOR YOU?

Continents, nations, organisations, families and individuals are at different levels of development, success and satisfaction. Most of the time what separates these is not what we generally point to.

One may blame the availability or unavailability of various resources but as l have said in my March coming book, The Wisdom Garden (Volume 1),

“Your value is not in the amount of resources at your disposal but in your ability and capacity of exploiting them.”

Interestingly some of the least resourced countries like Japan have achieved more than those who are more resourced. Taking a closer look we will see that all continents, nations, organisations, families and individuals have one resource that they have an equal share of and differences on the success scale of them all is determined chiefly by this resource and how it is used. This resource is what you have wisely used right now to be reading this post. You could have guessed right, I am talking about TIME.

We all have equal opportunities in life at the beginning and everyone has the same amount in their time bank. This is echoed in the words of the Old Hebraic king who was called the wisest person who lived in the BC era who said,

     .

“I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. [Ecclesiastes 9: 11]

Since we all have it equally we should begin to trade it daily to build relationships, develop ourselves, build capacities in our children and subordinates, invest for the future or add value in people’s lives.

Everything that is worthwhile costs a great deal amount of time and everyone that you look up to has traded their time to be where they are. Commitment to a relationship is measured with time; we see what you love by the amount of time you invest to it.

The wiser have discovered that they don't have enough of it to reach their goals and they buy it. By buying time, l am not talking of the illusion of the fools who think when they occupy themselves with something not important as they wait for a certain time to do something then they are buying it. This is deception; they are actually trading for loss.

Buying time is to use material and renewable resources to buy other people's time and use it to achieve your goals. When you employ someone you are paying renewable resources to get to use their time to achieve your goals. When you read a book you are buying their time that they used to acquire and research for that kind of information.

One of the wisest ways of buying time is getting a coach. All the thousands of hours that one has invested in researching and developing success tools and skills and gathering wisdom can be bought for a few dollars and you use all that time to work for you towards achieving your goals.
